A Disruptive Innovation

I’ve heard the term “disruptive innovation” but stayed away from it thinking it was just another term that would come and go as so many do, but having read the following on Wikipedia;  “A disruptive innovation is an innovation that helps create a new market and value network, and eventually goes on to disrupt an existing market and value network (over a few years or decades), displacing an earlier technology. The term is used in business and technology literature to describe innovations that improve a product or service in ways that the market does not expect, typically first by designing for a different set of consumers in a new market and later by lowering prices in the existing market.”  we realized that RingRang is a disruptive innovation. Why?

RingRang is a new solution that creates a (market) new system, a social interaction, between individuals or between individuals and businesses. A new system, a (value network) of immediate knowledge and financial rewards that disrupts the unnecessary time and dollars spent making phone calls to locate and communicate with others to the tune of 12 million hours and $187 million every single day.

How cool is RingRang?

Time Spent

Instead of looking at dialing our cells or clicking on a phone number from a dollar perspective, let’s look at it from a time perspective. U.S. consumers make 3 billion calls a day. It takes 15 seconds to dial and ring before someone picks up or we decide no one’s on the other end. 3 billion * 15 seconds equals 12.5 million hours per day …in the U.S. waiting for something to happen. Why are U.S. consumers burning 12.5 million hours waiting every day?

Summer’s here…

New styple for your web siteI hope everyone is enjoy the summer whether the sunny 100 degrees days or the shade of a tree and a cold drink. At RingRang we’ve been working on new icons for your use. We understand that your site is unique and that one icon or message doesn’t work for everyone. Design your own, upload it and off you go!

The Numbers

U.S. consumers make 3 billion calls a day, just ask the NSA. 25% of those calls are to businesses with questions or requests. 750 million (the 25%) @ $.25 = $187,500,000 per day. Why are US consumers spending $187.5 million per day for the privilege of spending even more money? Ask the businesses you visit to use RingRang and save us all. Thank you
